Many other editing companies offer different levels of editing service and charge extra for what should be standard quality checks. We do not believe that any level of error is acceptable before submission to your target journal. Every manuscript receives a comprehensive, constructive edit and review that includes substantive editing, detailed proofreading, plagiarism screening, and proper reference formatting. At Peak Medical Editing, “good enough” is neither.

Our Core Values guide everything we do. We do not offer (nor do we condone) unethical publishing services such as ghostwriting, fraudulent and/or paid peer reviews, or "paper brokering." We do not recommend the engagement of such services.

Our traditional service starts at $72, but expedited and rush services are available. Just select the option that best meets your needs.

Traditional Service (7 to 10 business days) timing is longer than other editing industry return times by design so we can offer a lower-than-industry cost editing service for authors who are not under urgent deadlines for submission. For more typical industry-standard return times, please see our Expedited and Rush services, which are priced appropriately with medical editing industry standards.

Peak Medical Editing, LLC was founded by John Essex, an award-winning medical writer, AMA style expert, and former Editor in Chief of two U.S.-based scientific journals—American Pharmaceutical Review and Pharmaceutical Outsourcing.

All edits are performed by John, our full-time medical editor. Several other editing services will outsource your document to a stable of part-time medical editors for a meager wage, asking them to find time in their busy schedules to attend to your manuscript when they have a moment.
